Many insurance companies require pre-authorization for imaging studies. Please contact your insurance company directly to find out if your plan requires pre-authorization for the imaging exam you are having. If so, we have pre-authorization staff at our imaging centers that can request pre-authorization for the services we provide as long as the insurance allows someone other than the ordering provider to obtain authorization and we are provided sufficient chart notes from the referring provider to support the medical necessity of the study.
